Government ensures support for Namibe's business community
José de Lima Massano concluded a three-day visit to the province, during which he assessed local economic dynamics and met with business owners and operators.
The central government, he emphasized, will continue to provide public financing programs to support economic agents, emphasizing that the proposals and concerns presented by business owners will be integrated into development policies.
During the visit, the minister announced that, within six months, a tomato processing plant will begin operating. The project is expected to reduce post-harvest losses, generate new jobs, and boost the agri-food industry.
The visit was also attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Isaac dos Anjos, and the Secretary of the President of the Republic for the Productive Sector, who observed the assessment of local economic activity and strengthened institutional cooperation with the business community.
