Farmers organized in cooperatives in the municipality of Saco Mar, province of Namibe, have been reinforcing their resilience to face climate change that mainly affect southern Angola, with the adoption of agricultural practices that promote productivity and sustainable use of soils.
These knowledge was passed by the “MA TUNINGA” project, which in the local language Kuvale means “let's do together” by the non -governmental organization for development, called Faith and Cooperation (FEC), in partnership with Caritas de Angola and José Eduardo dos Santos University, with the support of Fresan and the Angola government.
In the Port Municipality of Saco Mar, the project benefited 200 families in the locality of Giraul de Cima; 20 model farmers; Five cooperatives and various agricultural technicians, as well as representatives of the public institutions of Namibe province.
