April 22 - World Earth Day - Ambiente e Boas Praticas
The idea was to draw people's attention to the extreme dependence between human beings and the ecological balance of the planet and to the serious pressures that human activities are exerting on this same balance.
The Earth emerged approximately 4.6 billion years ago and since then the planet has undergone changes to make the emergence of life possible. However, it was also these changes that led to the evolution of some species and the disappearance of others.
More recently, human activities have accelerated the natural changes on Earth and modified the climate and the characteristics of the soil, water and other components important to our survival.
The Earth is our common home. There is no other planet within our reach that has the necessary conditions for us to live and prosper there. It is therefore important to highlight that the preservation of environmental balance and the sustainable use of the planet's resources are fundamental factors for us to continue to satisfy our needs and those of future generations through sustainable development.
