The coast of the Namibe province, with special emphasis on the fishing village of Tômbua, reveals itself as one of the most authentic and still little-explored destinations in Angola.
Surfing in Namibe is characterized by clean, long waves that are often perfect for different levels of experience. From curious beginners to advanced surfers in search of new challenges, there is space for everyone.
The combination of sandy bottoms and some rocky areas creates a diversity of surf spots that make each session unique. And best of all: you will often have the ocean almost entirely to yourself.
Namibe offers favorable conditions for surfing during much of the year, especially in periods when wind and swell align to create more consistent waves.
The climate is generally dry and sunny, making it ideal not only for surfing but also for exploring the region, going on hikes, or simply relaxing by the sea.

“At first, we thought this video had been filmed at the famous wave of the Skeleton Coast, in Namibia, and made to look like another place as a joke.
After all, how many unknown, kilometer-long left-hand waves are out there?
But as we looked more closely, we realized it really wasn’t the same wave. This one seemed easier and at the same time equally cylindrical.
The story goes that these two surfers were exploring the Angolan coast and discovered this “pearl,” apparently filmed now for the first time! Enjoy!”
