Qual a idade daquelas gravuras e daqueles desenhos?

These engravings are in danger of disappearing, due to the blistering, by thermal actions, of a superficial layer that later becomes fragmented. The interpretation and conservation of Morro do Tchitundulo's paintings, although difficult, is therefore urgent. These inscriptions are found on the great granite hill that gives access to the so-called Casa Maior that opens on the cliff in the form of an amphitheater. Almost all - perhaps even all - the large granite stone through which the Maior base is reached is carpeted with engravings. How old are those prints and drawings? How long ago were those engravings made on the hill? Firstly, the fragments of the engravings made on the granite plates attest to the existence of men on the Tchitundulo prior to the cleavage of the rock. Thus, the geological history of the region and of the Morro can bring concrete data to the history of the primitive cave men of Capolopopo. Inside the Covas, the most recent cave paintings appear, although the style is very similar to the style of the Who would have been the primitive inhabitants of the caves? Elements of the Mucuisse race? The problem of the race that inhabited the Morro do Tchitundulo is difficult to solve. engravings, but maintain a certain veneration for the mount, stating that the concentric circles engraved in Tchitundulo are the stars, mainly the Sun. In no other rock art station in Angola there are so many drawings, representations of small animals, as the schematic drawings of the Tchitundulo. What is the meaning of that jackal at the beginning of the northern slope of the hill? Will there be any relationship between the figurations of the Tchitundulo and a vague manifestation in relation to certain plants?

What profound intentions will we discover in the cruciform figures and some "radiographic" drawings? Will there be any similarity between some signs of Bamum writing, in different stages of its evolution and some drawings from Tchitundulo? Anyway, what is the meaning, what is the purpose, what are the intentions that did the authors of the inscriptions and cave paintings of Morro Sagrado dos Mucuisses have? " Some bibliography on the Prehistory of Angola. Did the Bochiman group belong to men of small size similar to the Mongols in bone structure, who are thought to come from the orient of Europe, considered to be the first peoples who inhabited the Namibe region? When the first Europeans arrived in Africa, they came across bochímanos to execute this type of paintings.

Professor António Almeida at a Conference at the Society of Geography on May 7, 1956, in Lisbon, tells us that the bochímanos, a somatic race and very ethnically very curious, are considered by many to be the oldest in the world. The designation of Bushmen of Dutch origin means men of the woods; this designation that comes from the middle of the 17th century, given by the Dutch colonists to the people who lived in the interior of the Cabo da Boa Esperança province, in regions covered with bush, which had been pushed there by the Hottentots and later by the Bantos. Impey tells us that people from Grymaldi passed from Asia to Africa 150,000 years ago and that South Africa would also have been inhabited by these men 100,000 years later, some leaving Europe, during the fourth glacial period, others from India, the latter remaining, many centuries, in Egypt. Others tell us that bochímanos, properly speaking, live in southern Africa, only four or five thousand years ago, and that they are descended from the negroids that have parked in the Nile valley. Marcelin Boule, on the other hand, says that the bochímanos are descendants of the blacks from Aurinhacenses, coming from a very old trunk, developed in the center or north of Africa, whose branches evolved in several gerographic and anthropological directions. Most South African authors, on the other hand, claim that bochímanos have the Mesolithic men of Boskop and Florisbad as their ancestors. Von Oord gives us his most recent origin and that results from the miscegenation between Egyptians, Somalis and Mongols. They also say that they are ancestors of Persian, Assyrian and Indian miners, during the gold mining of Manica and Quiteve. Certainty can only be given to us by specialists, historians, archaeologists, ethnologists, etc. dedicated to the study of Africa's past. We can affirm that there are rock paintings near Virei no Tchitundo-Hulo that may be attributed to the first inhabitants of the region. The Bochimanes belong to the Khoisan group, who did not know any tribal organization and live on hunting, fruits and roots (trying to put some ethnic order) that characterizes the region, first of all the great racial division between Khoisan and black peoples; these are subdivided into Bantos and not Bantos. The Khoisan are constituted by the Bochimanes, Kedes and individuals of Hottentot origin mixed like Bantos. The representatives of the non-Bantos blacks are the Kuissis and to some extent the cuandos. There are references to the rock paintings of Angola: Tchitundo Hulo and son of Tchitundo Hulo: An article by Henri Breuil and António Almeida, "From the engravings and paintings of the desert de Mocâmedes (Angola) ", in Portuguese Overseas Prehistory Studies, vol 2º, Lisbon, Overseas Research Board, 1964. This former Overseas Research Board is now called the Institute for Scientific and Tropical Research. The article contains black and white text and photographs of paintings, considered to be Paleolithic and Neolithic made by people prior to the Bantu and can be consulted at the Institute or at the National Library or others that have a legal deposit (even in Rio de Janeiro, at the Real Gabinete of reading). There are many books on Ethnology and History published by this former Board, written by ethnologists, missionaries, geographers ... with colonial language but rich in information.
